Protective Coatings

Do you mean Ceramic Coatings? Well, yes and no.

Most consumers would call what we use a ceramic coating, it serves the exact same purpose in our industry and does a phenomenal job! However, it doesn't contain the chemical required to be called a 'ceramic' coating, so it is a 'protective' coating.

Why get a protective coating?

Applying a protective coating to your vehicle offers several benefits:

  1. Enhanced Durability: Protective coatings create a strong, durable layer on your vehicle's surface. This shields the paintwork from environmental contaminants, UV rays, bird droppings, tree sap, and more, reducing the risk of damage.

  2. Long-lasting Shine: These coatings provide a deep, long-lasting gloss that enhances the overall appearance of your vehicle. The reflective properties of the coating can also amplify the paint's color and depth.

  3. Ease of Cleaning: The hydrophobic properties of protective coatings make the surface water-repellent. This means that dirt and water are less likely to adhere to the surface, making the cleaning process easier and less time-consuming.

  4. UV Protection: Protective coatings act as a barrier against harmful UV rays, preventing paint oxidation and fading over time. This helps maintain the vibrancy and integrity of your vehicle's paintwork.

  5. Chemical Resistance: These coatings offer protection against harsh chemicals and contaminants that your vehicle may encounter, such as road salts, bug splatter, and bird droppings.

  6. Increased Resale Value: Our coating, Undrdog Pro+, is recognized by CarFAX and is reported to your VIN number so its on your cars record. This increases the cars value and covers your coating under insurance.

What can be coated?

Our coating can be put on nearly any hard surface! It can be applied to paint, plastics, glass, and even leather! Our standard pricing includes all painted surfaces but we offer addons to cover the following areas:

  • Door jambs

  • Wheels

  • Glass

  • Head and tail lights

  • Plastic trim

  • Interior trim

  • Interior leather

What Can't be coated?

We cannot coat things that are very mobile or bare metal that doesn't have a clear coat on it, such as polished aluminum. Aluminum oxidizes from the inside out so you would have to polish through the coating next time its needs to be shined.

  • Cloth

  • Polished or raw metal

  • Rubber surfaces, we use a special tire coating designed for rubber, but not our protective coating we use on paint

Will it prevent scratches?

No, protective coatings don't prevent scratches. They are harder and more scratch resistant than your clear coat but they can still be scratched.

How long does it last?

We offer a few different coatings with different lifespans. We have 1, 5, and 10 years coatings available and will recommend the best option based on your situation.

How much does it cost?

Our coating prices include a single step of correction, typically this is sufficient for most newer vehicles. This will remove surface swirls and we will spot-treat a handful of deeper scratches. The starting price only covers all painted areas.
